Frequently Asked Questions
Cyboard School is a formal and accredited K-8 school that offers CBSE Curriculum online to students between the ages of 3 and 15 in India and abroad.
Cyboard primarily focuses on developing academic, social, emotional and physical skills of children in order to prepare them for the various challenges in the future. We provide countless opportunities for the children to improve their skills through classroom discussions, participation in various group activities, team building activities, participation in class quizzes, National Olympiads and International Olympiads.
The curriculum for pre-primary classes i.e. from nursery to UKG is based on an integrated approach that meets the basic requirements of the learning process through six interconnected themes including Numeracy, Literacy, General Awareness as well as the three domains of learning namely cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills) and affective (attitudes). This encourages even the youngest students to use play to explore, experience, investigate and comprehend the surroundings around them.
Pre-primary students will not be subjected to any formal tests or examinations.
Cyboard School follows the CBSE curriculum for both the primary and middle school classes that are from Grade 1 to Grade 8. We procure our course material from our in-house developed books, which are also available in our Learning Management System (LMS) as E-books with videos and audio, as well as associating learning material for each chapter in every subject.
Cyboard school is better than other online schools, because:
- We have expert teachers recruited from India’s best schools who are extensively trained for an effective delivery of online classes.
- Our curriculum goes beyond academics and incorporates the EDGE Philosophy, which aims at the holistic development of children.
- We have personalised learning plans that respect and value every child’s individuality.
- We believe that the purpose of a school is to foster empathy and facilitate learning rather than simply “teach.”
- Our students are free from the problems of bullying, discrimination and favouritism.
Essential enrollment requirements at Cyboard include:
- Access to high-speed internet with a minimum of 10 Mbps.
- A desktop or laptop that allows children to access their online classes, and usage of smartphones, tablets, and iPhones is optional.
- Learning Kit that is ordered online after enrollment (delivered at home by Cyboard).
LMS or Learning Management System is an AI-powered system that monitors and manages your child’s learning adaptability with updates regarding homework & assignments. It is versatile, simple to use and extremely safe. It is a complete communication and content administration interface, designed to support classroom activities.
Our in-house developed LMS has the potential to create unparalleled value for your child’s learning and development, especially since it can be customised for teachers, parents and students.
The Student’s Learning Kit, also known as “The Box of Fun,” is a collection of textbooks and workbooks for use during the academic year. Parents will receive the Kit at home after enrollment and payment of fees. This fun and educational kit includes much-needed school supplies such as study books, notebooks, crayons, glitters, pens and pencils as well as art & craft materials.
Personalized Learning is a pedagogical approach that aims to customise learning based on each student’s talents, desires, abilities and interests. We at Cyboard recognise and understand that children learn in different ways and at different paces, therefore our approach is built around a combination of rich, challenging and immersive content delivered in state-of-the-art online classes and materials that complement interactive learning.
Language labs are specially designed language sessions for students to enhance their vocabulary and strengthen their communication skills using Wordsworth collaborative sessions based on various educational resources such as audio, video and additional written content.
At Cyboard School, the teaching-learning process is all about hands-on activities with real objects. Children at our school learn primarily by doing. Primary and middle school students are encouraged to explore and research various topics in order to prepare and present their projects.
Remedial classes are specially designed for those who have been identified by the teachers as students with learning gaps. Teachers at Cyboard will take special care and attention to help them close the gap and get to the required academic level.
English is the primary medium of instruction; however, teachers may use Hindi to re-explain or clarify a specific topic if the students request it. And yes! We also offer additional languages such as Sanskrit and some foreign languages like French and Spanish from Grade 4.
We have a well-defined Activity Calendar that includes approximately 30 to 40 online celebrations throughout the year, as well as Physical Picnics organised in each state each month to promote effective social skills. Some of our extra-curricular activities include art, music, dance, theatre, puppet shows, storytelling, etc.
Writing is one of the most important skills for children to learn at school since it allows them to communicate and think clearly. The schedulers at Cyboard School regularly ask students to submit handwritten assignments, which are then corrected and returned to them via the LMS, which the parents can monitor anytime. We also maintain a healthy balance between device usage, writing skills, book reading and hands-on learning.
Examinations are essential to evaluate the children’s academic progress. As a result of which exams at Cyboard School are held twice a year and at the end of each term. The first term exams are held in September while the second term exams are held in February-March. Students are notified well in advance and a date sheet with the exam syllabus for each subject is mailed and distributed through broadcast groups.
We do sufficient revision work in class as well as provide access to revision worksheets for each subject which are uploaded to the portal. Also, the date sheet is designed in such a way that students have enough preparation time in between subjects.
Teachers are present in the classroom during examinations for close observation and monitoring. They also use multiple versions of tests to combat internet cheating. In addition to that, the questions framed by our teachers are skill-based questions that require higher-order thinking skills which means using the internet becomes obsolete. Also, our AI functionalities ensure that cheating is curbed.
We have experienced teachers who have taught at well-known schools across the country and are fully trained to deal with any type of student misbehaviour. The classrooms are also well-equipped to handle and monitor classroom discipline. Our AI makes it simple to record each and every action of the students, which allows the teachers to take the necessary action if required.
Yes! Students are assigned homework regularly. They can access their home assignments through the assignment tab on our portal. These assignments are published for a limited time; if a child is unable to complete it by the deadline, the same assignment is then republished for them. Our teachers also keep a checklist of all students and those who do not complete their assignments are reported and the parents are notified regarding the same.
