Attendance Policy
2024 - 25
As per CBSE rule, it is mandatory to have 75% attendance for every student. Parents need to send an application via email to school, informing about the absence of the child. In case of prolonged illness the student is required to submit a medical certificate from an authorized doctor, stating the illness of the child. Student’s absence for more than 15 days without any intimation will lead to striking off the name of the child from the school records.
Standard Operating Procedures for dealing with students having attendance less than the prescribed percentage of attendance
School will take the following actions:
- Inform the importance of attendance and classes, etc to the students and
their parents in the beginning of the session. - Sensitize students and parents about the relevant rules and the attendance requirement during the academic session.
- Inform students and parents the grounds on which shortage of attendance could be condoned.
- Inform the students and parents to submit medical certificate from a competent authority/leave application supporting the reason for availing/ taking leave as and when leave is availed.
- Intimate the students and parents if they are not attending the classes regularly and maintain the records of such students.
- In case the student remains absent during assessments or examinations, rescheduling of papers is not done, with an exception for students who had been ill for a long time or loss of father/ mother/ or some other such incident leading to student’s absence from school (documents: request from parents, death certificate).
