Writing for Success: How Online School Can Help You Succeed

Writing is a critical skill for success in and outside the classroom. Whether you are communicating with teachers and peers, crafting essays for your classes, writing emails, curating blogs & articles, or envisioning a successful writing career in the future, the ability to write clearly and effectively is of the utmost importance.

At Cyboard School, the importance of writing skills is not overlooked. The school is committed to helping students excel in all areas of their education, and writing skills are an integral part of that effort.

Writing modules or classes are designed to help students develop their writing skills and improve their ability to express themselves effectively through written communication.

Experts say students who write gain a better understanding of their own ideas, beliefs, and perspectives. It also helps them develop strong communication skills, which are essential for any profession. Writing is a tool for exploration and discovery.

Here are some ways writing is taught in our classrooms:

Pre-writing activities: Before children start writing, they engage in pre-writing activities such as drawing, scribbling, and making shapes. These activities help children develop the fine motor skills necessary for writing.

Creative Writing Workshops: Writing workshops are a common method of teaching writing to kids. These workshops include a variety of activities, such as brainstorming, free writing in the form of poetry, blogs, plays, scripts, and writing prompt

Technology integration: As we have an edge over others and technology integration into the curriculum becomes an advantage for us. We use a resources to make our children competent and efficient in the art of writing.

It is like giving a child a toolbox filled with the necessary tools to build something. Having the right tools in hand helps them to create something better and more efficient than if they had no tools at all.

With the use of LMS, the students have ample amount of time and more practical exercises to improve their writing skills.

LMS is no longer limited to classroom teaching, this gives access to students to learn and complete their tasks and assignments from anywhere.

  •    The major emphasis is on content organization, vocabulary enhancement, grammar and spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. In addition, students learn about literary elements such as characterization and narrative structure.
  •    We follow the activity-oriented approach, wherein children learn something new every day through these activities.
  •      The creative writing classes are based on the principles of creative thinking and constructivism.
  •      Regular feedback and revisions-Children receive feedback on their writing from teachers and peers, and are encouraged to revise and improve their work.
  • Our Teachers also focus on the process of writing by teaching students how to brainstorm, outline, draft, and revise their work.
  •   Overall, writing is taught to kids in a variety of ways that are designed to be engaging, fun, and effective. By developing their writing skills, children learn how to express themselves clearly and effectively, both in school and in their personal lives.

Developing writing skills at Cyboard School

As per the NEP 2020 guidelines, the four important communication skills are Reading, Writing, Speaking, and listening

As a School, we have always maintained a parity across all four skills. Although in today’s time children are exposed to more reading, listening and speaking skills, writing skills are sometimes left behind.

Therefore, to address this issue, we have collaborated with Raz-plus, an internationally recognized and renowned language program which deals with all the four sections of communications effectively.

While using Raz plus as a resource with our students not only in their daily classroom learning, but also dedicated English lab period and creative writing period. This is a part of the timetable we bring children writing skills.

Writing skills which can be associated with fictional writing, character sketch, writing of blogs, creation of manuscripts, storyboards, etc.

So that, they understand writing as an expression of their thoughts rather than only putting it on the paper for a question and answer showcase.

Don’t write just for an exam; write for experience!

These writing skills are clear and are carefully curated by English teachers. And are used in different presentation forms within the groups and individually as well during the last few days. And the creative writing period which is a dedicated timetable slot for each class and each child.

Writing skills are crucial for success both in and outside the classroom, and Cyboard School is committed to helping its students develop and improve these skills.

Through dedicated writing courses, individualized support, and various writing resources and extracurricular activities, Cyboard School prepares its students to excel in their academic and professional careers. This is done by becoming effective communicators and skilled writers.

So, start writing your way to the top with Cyboard School!
